UAE and Georgia Forge Historic Economic Partnership
The United Arab Emirates and Georgia have entered a new era of strategic cooperation, marked by a milesone meeting between His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the Georgian delegation at Qasr Al Shati.
High-level discussions reaffirmed the mutual commitment of the UAE and Georgia to expand cooperation across key sectors such as investment, trade, agriculture, and green energy. A major focus was the Tbilisi Dry Port project, a strategic infrastructure initiative by Abu Dhabi Ports Group, expected to be operational in 2025.
The talks highlighted progress on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), designed to deepen economic cooperation and enhance trade efficiency between the two countries.
One of the most significant outcomes of the visit was the formal agreement with EMAAR Properties and Eagle Hills on a transformative $6 billion investment in major development projects in Tbilisi, Batumi, and Gonio. This agreement reflects the strengthening of economic ties and a mutual commitment to sustainable urban development and innovation.
